The track climbs through gum trees and regenerating native forest to link Kororipo Pa with Kerikeri Road or Hone Heke Road.

Getting there

Access is through the Kerikeri Basin, either from Kerikeri Road or Hone Heke Road.

Historic sites Historic sites

The Kerikeri Basin offers a variety of walking opportunities, most to sites of historical significance.

A parking and picnicking area is sited on the northern side of the bridge over the Kerikeri River. There are also parking and picnic facilities at the end of the Rainbow Falls Road.

Plan and prepare

Dogs are not permitted on the walking tracks in the Kerikeri Basin due to the risk they pose to kiwi and other wildlife.
