  • All archaeological sites are protected by the Historic Places Act. It is an offence to damage or interfere with them in any way. As you visit the sites, please help to protect and preserve them.
  • Please leave farm gates as you find them.
  • Do not bring dogs on to the island.
  • 027 cellphone coverage is available around all parts of the island
  • Urupukapuka Island is now rodent free. It is very important to check your bags, food stores, tents and tarps for any rats and mice prior to arrival on the islands.
  • Urupukapuka Island is Argentine Ant free. Check all gear thoroughly for infestations prior to arrival. Use fly spray on ants.
